Engagement Overview

The Contractor bridges client facilities, clinical staff and technology systems. Working with the Senior Manager, Clinical Operations as the primary point of contact, the Contractor provides daytime PACS administration, clinical client and physician coordination, and physician scheduling support.

The Contractor also anchors after-hours support by covering a light on-call rotation (1 week in every 6) and serving as the technical escalation resource for the after-hours administration team. Services outside this scope are added only by mutual written agreement.

Scope of Services

The Contractor is responsible for the results below and determines the methods, sequence and tools used to deliver them.

  1. PACS Administration & Technical Support
  • Provide daytime administration of the Company's PACS platforms, including study routing, verification and uninterrupted diagnostic workflow.
  • Resolve study matching errors, Sirona tickets, missing prior studies and image quality tickets.
  • Work with PACS/IT vendors, modality technologists and reading physicians to resolve modality worklist failures, hanging protocol errors and viewer discrepancies.
  • Monitor study queues across all clinical feeds so turnaround-time SLAs are consistently met.
  1. Clinical Client & Physician Liaison
  • Act as a primary operational contact for clients, referring providers and the Company's radiologists on report turnaround, stat read coordination and protocol questions.
  • Support physician scheduling, including complex specialty exam schedules, add-on reads and subspecialty physician assignments.
  • Facilitate direct communication between referring clinicians and on-duty radiologists.
  • Track recurring client issues, report them to the Senior Manager, Clinical Operations with recommended service improvements, and maintain client preference cards.
  1. Escalation Support & After-Hours On-Call
  • Provide primary after-hours on-call coverage 1 week in every 6, handling urgent intake and technical issue resolution.
  • Serve as the daytime technical escalation point for the after-hours administration team, including knowledge transfer on PACS troubleshooting.
  • Deliver updates to standard operating procedures (SOPs), after-hours call sheets, PACS troubleshooting playbooks and FAQs.

Coverage Commitments

The Contractor commits to two coverage windows; within them, the Contractor sets their own working hours and methods.

  • Business-day coverage: Available to respond to client, physician and PACS issues Monday–Friday during core business hours.
  • On-call coverage: Primary after-hours on-call 1 week on, 5 weeks off, on a rotation calendar agreed in advance with the Senior Manager, Clinical Operations. The Contractor may arrange a swap with another qualified rotation member, with notice.

Contractor Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years in medical imaging, healthcare administration or clinical operations. Direct radiology operations experience, including PACS workflows, is required.
  • Technical knowledge: Strong command of PACS workflow, HL7 messaging flows, imaging modalities (CT, MRI, X-ray, US) and HIPAA compliance standards.
  • Communication: Strong problem-solving and de-escalation skills. Able to translate technical PACS problems into plain clinical terms for providers and to coordinate respectfully with physicians and clients.
  • Availability: Able to cover the after-hours remote on-call rotation on a 1-week-on, 5-weeks-off cycle.
  • Business setup: Operates as an independent business with their own phone and reliable internet connection. The Company provides a secured computer for HIPAA compliance.

Engagement Terms

These terms summarize the Independent Contractor Agreement; the signed agreement governs.

  • Independent status: The Contractor is not an employee and is not eligible for Company benefits.
